European Experience
SEACC's directors and staff have been involved in European Union (EU) funded projects for seventeen years, participating in many of the past and present EU programmes.
We have established partnerships in thirteen European countries and have a wide spectrum of contacts in the educational, private and public sectors.
We also design, draft, develop and deliver projects for our EU partners to tender and lead. This service enables new and emerging states to learn how European Union funding can assist their economic growth by workforce development and micro and SME regeneration.
Range of Experience
For example, our range of experience includes the following specialist projects:
- Our staff wrote and delivered a major ESF funded redundancy programme for over 500 employees of the Ministry of Defence facing redundancy. This programme incorporated re-training, advice and re-employment opportunities both within the UK and abroad.
- Another major EU funded project specialised in researching, analysing and reporting on the obstacles to employment for the visually impaired, to the Royal National Institute for the Blind, and for the hearing impaired, to the Royal Association for the Deaf.
Current Project - Job Abroad
Currently SEACC is a partner in a project funded under the LEONARDO programme, and this is designed to assist graduates and also senior unemployed persons to seek a job or work placement in one of the EU partner states, these being Denmark, Germany, Iceland and the UK.
The project, titled Job Abroad, will be of interest to universities and to employers of both graduates and senior unemployed persons and SEACC’s expertise will be utilised by the partners to contribute to the anticipated success of this project.
